Naples apps for public transport, taxis and Pompeii
Naples has several transport operators, so one app does not solve every journey. Use UnicoCampania for integrated tickets and route information, GoEAV for EAV services toward Pompeii and Sorrento, and a licensed local taxi channel when public transport is not practical.

In a nutshell: install UnicoCampania for everyday public transport and integrated ticket choices. Add GoEAV if your itinerary includes Circumvesuviana services toward Pompeii, Herculaneum or Sorrento. Save GOXGO only if you expect to call a Taxi Napoli 8888 car. Keep airport, city and excursion journeys separate so the wrong app does not lead to the wrong ticket.
The official integrated transport app
This is the official app of the UnicoCampania consortium. Its journey tool identifies integrated ticket or pass options between an origin and destination, while the ticket section sells supported tickets and stores them for activation before travel. It is the broadest first download for public transport around Naples and Campania.
EAV app for Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento
GoEAV is EAV's official app for tickets and service information. It is the relevant companion for EAV routes, including the Circumvesuviana network used for journeys from Naples toward Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento. Check EAV service notices before an excursion because city transport information alone is not enough for these routes.
For a Pompeii day, confirm the exact station, service and ticket before leaving Naples. The separate Pompeii and Capri chapter helps keep archaeological excursions distinct from ordinary city journeys.
A local taxi app
Taxi Napoli 8888 presents GOXGO as its free smartphone booking app. Use it as one direct channel to a local taxi service when you have luggage, an early departure or a journey that is awkward by public transport. The operator also offers web and telephone booking on its official site.
