Planning your trip to Pisa

Pisa is a compact university city on the Arno, best known for one leaning bell tower and richer than the photos suggest. Getting there

The Galileo Galilei airport (PSA) is barely a kilometre south of the centre, connected by the PisaMover shuttle to Pisa Centrale. The station sits on the main line between Rome and Genoa, with trains to Florence in about an hour and to Lucca in about twenty minutes - which makes Pisa an excellent base for Tuscany.
