Dorsoduro is Venice's art quarter, and the whole district now lives in dedicated chapters. La Salute's great dome marks the point where the Grand Canal meets the lagoon, and the churches of Dorsoduro hide Veronese's art-filled San Sebastiano, the giant ceiling of San Pantalon and the ancient atmosphere of San Nicolò dei Mendicoli. Behind the waterfront, the palaces of Dorsoduro - Ca' Rezzonico's Museum of 18th-Century Venice, Palazzo Cini, the Vedova Foundation - and the Zattere promenade offer the best sunsets in town, the last gondola yard at San Trovaso and the university buzz of Campo Santa Margherita.
