Piazzale Roma to the Lido with almost no stops: the fastest way to the beach island, calling at Zattere and the Biennale gardens.

Line 6 is the express run between Piazzale Roma and Lido Santa Maria Elisabetta, with only a handful of stops along the south-west rim of Venice. It's the line to know on Biennale days - the Giardini stop drops you at the gates - and for a beach afternoon on the Lido without spending an hour on the Grand Canal. It works just as well in reverse for coming back into the city.

Line 6 is a daytime-only line, running daily with boats roughly every 20 minutes. On weekdays, the Piazzale Roma → Lido direction runs from about 6:20 a.m. to 8:20 p.m., and the return from about 6:40 a.m. to 8 p.m.; on holidays the first boats are later (about 7:40 a.m. outbound, 8:20 a.m. return). Timetables are seasonal - check the official ACTV navigation schedules or the dock displays before relying on them.
